manifesto partners with Trussell to launch a new digital platform, enhancing support for food banks and improving user engagement.

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Trussell's new website, the result of months of collaborative work between manifesto and the inspiring team at Trussell. This project marks a significant milestone in our shared goal of building a digital movement to help end the need for food banks across the UK.

The newly developed platform brings Trussell’s refreshed brand to life, making it easier for supporters to engage with their mission. This includes an enhanced donation journey and crucially, an improved experience for people seeking emergency food. We worked with the Trussell team and people with lived experience of accessing food banks to reduce the friction in this journey and design a supportive, step-by-step journey for people in crisis

An essential component of this digital transformation is the involvement of Trussell ’s network of over 1,400 food banks. The team worked closely with these food banks to co-design a multi-site experience, empowering each one with its own tailored website. These individual sites are user-focused, supporting the specific needs of people seeking help while giving local food banks the flexibility to share their unique stories and services. This ensures alignment with Trussell's overarching goal: creating a future where no one needs to rely on food banks.

Meredith Sneddon, Head of Digital, Public Engagement, Trussell said:
"This work will enable us to better engage and mobilise the millions of people in our audience while reaching new audiences to support our mission. It will help more people to take action by donating, campaigning and volunteering - all things we need to achieve our vision to end the need for food banks.
I'm incredibly grateful for the teams at manifesto. Almost every day my team tell me how much they enjoy working with the manifesto teams, their incredible patience, expertise and collaborative attitude is truly phenomenal."

As manifesto and Trussell move forward, we’re excited to see these new sites roll out in the coming months. This partnership will continue to evolve, and we look forward to further reimagining how digital tools can galvanise public support for Trussell’s vital mission.

Stay tuned on manifesto’s website for upcoming insights on how they:
